New Developments

	In order to enhance the private investment in the field of mineral exploration, 18 Reconnaissance Permits have been granted on 30132.18 sq.km. area, to the registered national and international companies in the state.
	These companies have been granted RPs for the exploration of Diamond, Base Metals and other precious minerals and metals.
	The permits have been granted to M/S ACC RIO TINTO, M/S GEO MYSORE, N.M.D.C. Ltd., ADI GOLD INDIA Pvt.Ltd., M/S DE BEERS INDIA Ltd. and METMIN FINANCE AND HOLDINGS Pvt.Ltd.
	M/S Reliance Industries Ltd. has been granted 3 Petroleum Exploration Licences for coal bed methane in Shahdol and Anooppur districts of the state.
	M/S Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. has been granted one Petroleum Exploration Licence for coal bed methane in Chhindwara district of the state.
	On proving the CBM reserves 5 to 8 million cubic feet of CBM per day, 2000 Mega Watts electricity and approx. 60000 barrels of underground water is expected.
	The Mahan Coal block in Sidhi district has been jointly allotted to M/S Essar Power and M/S Hindalco, power plants of 1000 and 650 mega watts are proposed to be set up by these companies respectively.
	The Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation Ltd. has been allotted the Ameliya Coal Block in Sidhi DIstrict.
	Similarly Ameliya (North) block of Sidhi District has also been allotted to the The Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation Ltd. The Corporation will develop this block to meet the requirements of the consumers of the state.
