Admission Eligibility :-
1. A tribal student living in any part of the state is entitled to get admission who has secured more than 60% in 5th ,8th or 10th standard.
2. Application for the admission is to be submitted to the principal of the school.
3. Last date for admission is 15th July of every year.
Facility :-
1. Free residential facility, free text books and free study material is provided to the incumbents. Television, News paper and Computer training facility is also available.
2. For uniforms Rs. 350/- is given once in a year.
Stipend :- Rs. 500/- to boys and 525/- to Girls is given for 10 months, In addition to this Rs. 100/- per month is given for nutritive food.

12 Boys residential Sports Complex and 4 Girls residential Sports Complex with a capacity of 100 seats in each complexes are sanctioned.
Admission Procedure :
1- The admission is subjected to physical fitness of the candidate for which a series of 5 different tests are conducted.
2- The age limit is 18 year for the Higher Secondary students and a one year relaxation is given to National and/or State level sports students.
3. Admission is conducted at two stages. In first stage at block level test are held between15-18 July and the final test is conducted from 18 to 30 July at Complex level.
4. Candidates are provided lodging and boarding facility at the time of selection, conveyance charges are also reiumburesed.
Facilities :-
1. Free Residential facility.
2. Rs. 350/- to boys and 360/- to girls are given for 10 months In addition to this Rs. 60/- per month is also given for nutritive food.
3. Once in year Rs. 350 is given for the uniform.
4- Once in year Rs. 500/- is given for sport kit.

(04) Pre Matric and Post Matric Hostels :-
Objectives :- Hostels are opened to provide residential facilities to the Tribal Boys and Girls Students.

This is an ongoing scheme under which residential schools are operational up to class-V and VIII th class. These Ashrams are being opened in Pre-dominantly populated S.C./S.T. areas and preference is given to the girls Ashrams.

(06) Chhatra Grah Yojna :- (Starting Year 1991)
Objectives :-
Tribal students who could not get admission in Postmatric hostel and are studying in class XI, XII or in college are eligible for this scheme. They are provided with Post Matric Scholarship at hostel rate. The room rent and light/water charges are paid by this department.
Rules for Chhatra Grah Establishment.
5 or more then five students should reside in a chhatra grah.

Objectives :- For meritorious students, school of excellence are opened at district HQ and Bhopal HQ selected teaching staff are available for these students. Good environment and infrastructure with computer facilities are available for students.

(08) Hostel Facilities in Delhi for Tribal Students studying in Universities/Colleges :-
The Government of Madhya Pradesh has started a new scheme for those students aspiring for higher education in the universities of New Delhi.
Under the scheme the Government of Madhya Pradesh provides free accommodation/ Water and electricity charges to these students.
The management of the scheme in Delhi is looked after by the resident Commissioner of M.P. Bhawan.
Scope of the Scheme ¼;kstuk dk {ks=½ :-
This scheme is only for the tribal students who are studying in the Delhi Metropolitian area. This facility is available in the hostels of Universities / Colleges in Delhi.
Eligibility Conditions :-
A domicile certificate of Madhya Pradesh and certificates of Scheduled Tribe.
Students who have passed 12th Board examination and get admission in college or university in Delhi.
Candidate must be the student of the recognised reputated Institute and must be eligible for the Post Matric Scholarship.
Admission Procedure :
1. Admission will be done by the competent officer of the concerning College/ University.
2- Application on prescribed form duly forwarded by the concerning institute will be submitted to resident Commissioner, M.P.Bhawan, New Delhi.
Facilities :-
Rent : Rent is decided by the Institute or maximum up to Rs. 1000/- which ever is minimum.
Water and Electricity :- Rs. 100/- per month per student for 12 months.
Stipend :Rs. 500/- per month per student for 12 months.
One time finencial aid -At the time of admission Rs 2000/- per student.

(10) Scholarship for studying abroad :-
Objectives :- Every year 10 scholarships are granted to those tribal students who get admission in Post Graduation / Research Work or for participation in research programme after P.hd.
Eligible Candidate :-
(A) For Post Doctoral work ('kks/k mikf/k mijkar v/;;u gsrq ) :- First Division or 60% in Post Graduation or equivelent, For Scheduled Tribe the criteria is Second division with 50% and P.hd along with experience in related area.
(B) For Ph.D. ('kks/k mikf/k ¼ih-,p-Mh-½ gsrq) :- First Division or 60% in Post Graduation or equivelent, For Scheduled Tribe the criteria is Second division with 50% and 2 year professional experience in related area / Research / M.Phil.
(C) For Post Graduation Study ( LukrdksRrj mikf/k gsrq ) :- First Division or 60% in Graduation or equivelent, For Scheduled Tribe the criteria is Second division with 55% .
Selection Procedure :-
Age :- Age of the candidate must be 35 or below on 1st January of the application year. In special cases a relaxation of 10 years.
Income :- Annual Income of parents or guardian of candidates must be below 5.00 lakh.
Finencial Aid :- Rate of finencial aid is as per the norms of Government of India subjected to time to time revision.

(11) Additional Scholarship to the hostellers of Class 11 and 12th :-
Under this scheme the tribal students of class 11th and 12th who resides in hostels are given Rs. 265/- for Boy's and Rs. 290/- for Girls in addition of Post Matric scholarship (Hostel Rate)
(12) Post Matric Scholarship :-
Objectives : This Scholarship is for class 11th and onwards with PG or Ph.D courses.
Eligibility Criteria : Under the GOI norms a candidate is entiltled to claim Post Matric Scholarship whos parents annual income is below 1.00 lac.
